Taro Films 24 selected to present at the European Commission's Innovation Challenge
Honored to announce Taro Films 24 has been selected to present our solution, Origin Lens, at the European Commission's Copyrights Innovation Challenge on October 14th.
How can we prove authorship and originality when the creative process itself is hidden?
The project Origin Lens is a Web3 platform designed to address this issue. Our mission is to create a transparent, verifiable chain of title for AI-generated content, establishing a new standard for "provable originality."
As producers, we're tackling this challenge from a creator's perspective to build a solution that empowers the entire European creative ecosystem.
Look forward to presenting the vision—a huge thank you to the European Blockchain Services Infrastructure (EBSI), EU Digital & Tech, and the Copyright Innovation Challenge team. -
AI's Evolving Role: Sportradar's Behshad Behzadi at SofaScore HQ
Recently, we attended Sofascore’s Q&A with Sportsradar’s Behshad Behzadi. While the session focused on "The Era of AI in Sports," the discussion offered insights critical to any industry, including visual media.
Behzadi highlighted how AI is fundamentally lowering the cost of innovation and reshaping digital transformation. He emphasized the need for agility, advising companies to avoid over-reliance on any single AI model, given the rapid emergence of superior alternatives.
A significant takeaway was AI's profound impact on user experience. The future is moving towards hyper-personalization, where content is precisely tailored to individual interests. This goes beyond efficiency, building a "trusted partner" relationship with users—a crucial concept for personalized content delivery, like in the film industry.
Looking ahead, Behzadi sees AI becoming the "ultimate assistant," enhancing familiar user interactions like swiping and chat rather than inventing entirely new ones. The session concluded with a powerful call to action: "The best way to predict the future is to build it."
TaroFilms24 remains committed to understanding and recognizing AI's significant impact in content creation, distribution, and the personalized viewer experience.

Taro Films24 at Cine&Photo Days 2025
A picture is worth a thousand words and most of them at the first Cine&Photo day were about gear.
Sayings aside, it was a great opportunity to catch up on the latest in filmmaking and photography technology and have the chance to discuss developments from industry leaders such as Sony, Panasonic, and SmallRig, while also examining various rigs, lighting options, and lens technologies.
In today's world that's moving closer and closer to AI, passion and innovation are driving the industry forward and events like these are crucial not only to stay up-to-date, but to also remember what makes a frame.
A big thank you to AVITEH Audio Video Tehnologije d.o.o.

The State of Film & Television Production in US and Canada: Outlook for 2025
The film and television production industry faced significant challenges in 2024, including Hollywood strikes, the ongoing impact of COVID-19, and economic uncertainty. This led to a decline in production volume, particularly in the US. Hollywood studios spent $11.3 billion on productions in the second quarter of 2024, a 20% drop from the same period in 2022, reflecting a downturn in industry activity. Globally, film and television production levels declined by 20%, while the US saw a sharper 40% decline from pre-strike levels.
Despite these challenges, US production incentives remained relatively stable, with some states like New Jersey and Oklahoma expanding their programs. California proposed a significant increase to its incentive program to compete with other states and countries.
Canada continued to attract productions with its robust incentive programs and strong infrastructure. Tax incentives have contributed to a robust production infrastructure across Canada, with major hubs in Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal offering state-of-the-art studios and skilled labor forces.
Looking ahead to 2025, the industry is expected to focus on stabilization and more sustainable growth. Independent production is poised to play a growing role

What We Care About: Gaza SunBirds
We're proud to share our work with Gaza SunBirds, a sports team from Gaza traveling across Europe to raise funds for aid. We recently helped promote their aid efforts.
The Gaza Sunbirds are a para-cycling team based in the Gaza Strip. The team was formed in 2020 by Alaa al-Dali and Karim Ali with a mission to make a difference. Through their athletic talents and dedication, they're raising awareness and critical funds to support their community.
How to donate a pizza party?
“Like sports, the feeling of getting a pizza is a universal. By teaching kids how to twist the dough and getting the community involved we make it an opportunity for some much deserved distraction. We are looking for sustainable initiatives to give a moral boost to our people. Flour prices have remained relatively stable across the war making this something we know we can deliver on even in when things go from bad to worst.”

Netflix Boosts Local Production in Southeast Asia in 2025
A notable increase in open positions on the company website for hiring in Manila, Taiwan, and Singapore suggests Netflix's strategic expansion within Southeast Asia will continue in 2025.
The streaming service is demonstrating a commitment to local production, as evidenced by the development of projects such as Indonesia's inaugural sci-fi series and a Philippine zombie apocalypse film. This initiative aims to cater to the region's rising demand for homegrown entertainment.
